Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight”. Many of us deal with the Thomas mentality. It is “I believe when you show me”, rather than “Show me and then I will believe”. If we aren’t careful, we will chase signs, wonders and miracle instead of the presence of God Almighty. We will simply look for the spectacular and be passionately drawn to its entertainment, living a version of Christianity that is diametrically opposed to that of the Book of Acts.

Romans 8:37 says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” In scripture, God never tells us that we should be defeated or possess a victim mentality. Instead, God’s Word says we are “more than conquerors”. In fact, we are champions! It does not mean we will never fall or ever face troubles and trials, but at the end, we are overcomers!
